Elton Glen Toston
Born on January 22, 1962, in Terry, Elton was the cherished eighth child of J.T. and Mable Toston.
Elton embraced his faith at a young age at Mount Pleasant No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church under the guidance of Reverend D.L. McCall. He graduated from Oak Grove High School and later pursued training at a truck driving school in Bossier City, Louisiana. Elton dedicated many years as a Roustabout for Parker’s Ditching Contractors, showcasing his strong work ethic until health challenges necessitated his retirement.
Elton was truly passionate about barbecuing and had a great love for mystery films and shows. In his youth, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. A self-taught carpenter and furniture maker, he also had an extreme love for fast cars and trucks! His incredible witty personality, and exceptional storytelling skills will be remembered as his most cherished legacy.
Please join the family in celebrating his life on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Thomas Jason Lingo Community Center, located at 10284 LA-17, Oak Grove, LA 71263.
