Bobby Ray Rawles, born in Vicksburg, MS., on February 14, 1946, entered this world on a day dedicated to love, and he spent his life embodying that very sentiment by showing kindness, generosity, and staunch care to those around him. Bobby left us peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, February 21, 2025, in Delhi, after a lengthy battle of illness.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Griffin Rawles; son, Bobby Ray Rawles Jr.; parents, Patrick Ray Rawles - father, Bessie Lea Purvis mother, and Douglas Evon Purvis - dad. Bobby was a beloved husband to Peggy for 53 wonderful years, a partnership built on love, loyalty, and laughter. He was a dedicated and affectionate father who cherished his daughters, Carla and Leanne, guiding them with kindness and unwavering support. s a grandfather, he adored Brandon, Cherie, Caroline, and Cole, filling their lives with warmth, wisdom, and endless love. Bobby was also blessed with the companionship of his special friend, Maggie Ruth, whose presence brought joy and comfort to his life.

Bobby began his career in the mobile home business, but no matter how much success came his way, his heart was always drawn to the outdoors. In the 1980s, he discovered his true passion — designing and developing residential and commercial landscapes for the people of northeast Louisiana. With hard work and vision, he and Peggy founded Bayou Landscaping and Shed Rack Nursery in Rayville, which they proudly owned and operated together for over 30 years.
