Funeral services for Ray Tarver, 66, of Rayville, were held Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Faith Christian Church, Start, with Bro. Jacob Duvall offi ciating.

Interment was in Start Cemetery, Start, under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Ray was born January 21, 1959, in Rayville, and passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, in Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Win- Winfred and Annie Ruth Tarver; brother, Chris Tarver; sister, Betty Bennett; five angel grandbabies who welcomed him in Heaven; and nephew, Billy Bennett.

Survivors include his daughters, Amber Frith and husband, Darryn, and Rachel Lee and husband, Justin; grandchildren, Brianna “Boula-Boula” Duvall (Jacob), Madison “Loula- Boo” Thomas (Cabe), Raeleigh “Loula-Bell” Sul- Sullivan (Neal), Alaya-Claire “Claira-Bell Bell” Frith, Macey “Brookie” Tarver (Caleb), Lex “Goobla” Lee, and Cierra “Chicken Butt” Herrington; great-grandchildren, Reece “Reecie-Cup Cup” Weston Duvall, Eden “Popa’s Miss Eden” Wren Duvall, Townes “Popa’s Townes Man” Riley Duvall, Lyndi “Lyndi Loraine” Alyse Thomas, Adley “Adley Mae Jones” Rhea Thomas, Sylvie “Thumbie” Anne-Frances Sullivan, Samuel “Sambo” Allen Tarver, and Gabriella “Popa’s Fat Girl” Brooke Tarver; twin brother, Roy “Tanker” Tarver (Brenda); sister, Peggy Southall and husband, Thomas; mother of his children, Debbie Lagneaux; special niece, Sherry Barnett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Neal Sullivan, Cabe Thomas, Chris Herrington, Christian Roach, Brendan Roach, Joshua Stanley, Head Jones, and Noel Tarver.

Honorary pallbearers were Clinton Ray Berry, Charlie Russell, Mike Herrington, Lex Lee, Darryn Frith, Justin Lee, Jacob Duvall, Caleb Tarver, Dallas Bennett, Amos Marble, and Robby Tarver.
