Former NFL athlete and Rayville native Edgar Jones returned home on March 31 to deliver an inspiring message to Jobs for America’s Graduates students from Delhi High, Mangham High and Rayville High.
Speaking at Richland Arts Center, Jones -- now a professional speaker and author -- shared his personal journey of overcoming adversity, emphasizing themes of perseverance, personal growth and striving for excellence.
Each student in attendance received a signed copy of his book, The Underdog’s Story, which chronicles his experiences and the lessons he’s learned along the way.
Jones, an alumnus of Rayville High School, is also the co-founder of Luminated in Thought Motivational Movement, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals through motivational outreach.
