The sign-up period to join the Cotton Blossoms is underway.
Richland Parish girls entering grades nine through 12 are able to join the service organization.
The Cotton Blossoms were formed by Rayville Sedente Animo civic club to bring together the young women of the parish to benefit themselves and the community.
Their goal is to keep alive interest in the fine arts, advance and assist in civic improvement and promote interest in community service opportunities throughout the year.
The members will be presented at the Cotton Blossom Cotillion on Aug. 16 at the Rayville Civic Center. The cost to sign up is $125 which includes a tshirt, ticket and two photos.
The first meeting will be held at 2 p.m. April 27 at the Rayville United Methodist Church. A makeup meeting for those unable to attend the April 27 meeting will be held at 5 p.m. May 1 at Chanticleer’s Boutique in Rayville.
A second meeting will be held at 2 p.m. July 27.
