Rayville native charged with cruelty in other case
The Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Rayville High School student for terrorizing on April 3.
The student allegedly posted on social media about a potential violence at Friday’s RHS track meet.
The student stated she intended no harm when she made the post.
“Parents, please monitor your children’s social media accounts,” Richland Parish Sheriff Neal Harwell said. “The charges are serious and could potentially have long lasting impacts on your children.”
The sheriff’s office also stationed extra deputies at the track meet due to the threats.
The sheriff’s office also arrested Dameshia Daniels of Rayville on Sunday on a warrant for cruelty to a juvenile.
Daniels was indicted by a Richland Parish Grand Jury for cruelty to a juvenile which resulted in the death of a four-year-old child.
Harwell said deputies were able to locate Daniels thanks to help from the community.
