Rayville Police Chief Markus Turner calls out bingo numbers at the COA.

Rayville Police Chief Markus Turner hosted bingo for the Richland Voluntary Council on Aging last week. “It was an honor to spend time again at the Council on Aging with such a vibrant and engaging group,” Turner said. “The stories shared the friendly, humorous teasing, and the sheer delight in each ‘Bingo!’ resonated deeply with me. More than just a game, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with individuals who have enriched our community with their wisdom and experiences.”

He said hosting bingo was a reminder of the importance of community and the value of intergenerational connections.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute in a small way and will continue to host more events,” Turner said. “I am immensely thankful for the warm welcome and the generous spirit displayed by everyone who attended. Your willingness to participate and share in the fun made the experience incredibly rewarding. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to bring joy and excitement to your day. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart to all the Council On Aging seniors who make the bingo sessions unique.”
