Nourish to Prevent, a three-part educational series on cancer prevention, will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. on April 10, 17 and 24 at Cool Kids, 711 Louisa St., Rayville.
This program is designed to educate adults who may have a general interest in cancer prevention, those who may be at high risk for cancer, or who may have survived cancer and want to prevent it from reoccuring.
“We will discuss ‘What is Cancer,’ ‘Nutrition and Physical Activity’” and lastly visit a local grocery store to focus on foods that help prevent this chronic disease,” LSU AgCenter Extension Agent Brittney J. Newsome said.
Participants will have the opportunity to prepare and sample a recipe and create their own herb and spice mix.
