Students from throughout Richland Parish traveled to Louisiana Tech to participate in the district literary rally on March 15.
Students moving on to compete in the state rally April 12 in Baton Rouge are Rayville High School students Michael Harrison, who won first in Spelling 10 and Quintrell Bell, who won first in Spelling 11; and Riverfield Academy students Tori Rigsby, who won first in English literature and Emme Hoychick, who won second in Spelling 10.
Mangham High School students placing at the district rally were Skylyn Lawson, second place in Spanish II; LaCrystal Johnson, second place in Spanish III; Roman Wilson, third place in U.S. history; and Caitlin White, four place in English II.
Rayville High School students placing at district were Michael McCormick, second in Agriscience III; Kira Smith, second in business computer applications; Kira Washington, second in physical science and Rayleigh Sebren, third in biology.
Riverfield Academy placing at district were Anna-Marie Poland, first in Biology II; Samantha Davis, first in English I; Carlyle Shelton, first in English II; Macy Lee Hale, second in English IV; Audrey L Weatherly second in financial literacy; Ali Thomason second in Physical science; Mary Loftin Greer second in world geography; and Alice Fife third in civics.
