Tommy Cook American Legion Post 122 will celebrate its 100th birthday this year.
The post was chartered on Aug. 13, 1925. Original charter members were J.O. Glanton, Ed Shamblin, John McCarthy, Murray Eppinette, Tom Christian, H.G. Cochran, A.H. Cochren, Len Cumpton, Roy McDonald, Martin Stogghill, George B. Franklin, C.J. Ellis Jr., Edgar T. Morris, Tom Parks and K.E. Batman.
The post plans a celebration in August. In the meantime, anyone with information about the post’s history and original members or any information to share is asked to get in touch.
