Qualifying for the March 29 election ended Friday with Richland voters .
Sheriff Neal Harwell will face a challenge by Andre Fuller of Monroe for the position of Richland Parish Sheriff.
In Mangham, incumbent mayor Charlotte Boone will run against Kristi Fleming.
Five people qualified to run for the two vacant alderman positions. They are Kathryn “Paula” Carter, Mary Nichols, Brad Penny, Andrea Ramsey and Marie Wilhite.
The deadline to register to vote in person, by mail or at the OMV Office is Feb. 26.
The deadline to register to vote through the Geaux-Vote Online Registration System is March 8.
Early voting is from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 15-22 (excluding March 16).
The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 4:30 p.m. March 25 (other than military and overseas voters). You can request an absentee ballot online or in writing through your registrar of voters office.
The deadline for a registrar of voters to receive a voted absentee ballot is 4:30 p.m. March 28 (other than military and overseas voters).
On election day, the polls are open from 7 a.m.8 p.m.
