DCS robotics teams win
Logan Patty, Hunter Scarborough, Bennett Johnston, Remi Sauseda, Slayter Blake, Raeleigh Comeaux, Avindi Thomas, and coach Eric Vidrine accept their awards at the LSUA Sneaxdown robotics tournament.

After winter weather shut down the Baton Rouge venue, DCS instead returned to Alexandria on Jan. 25 to compete in the LSUA Sneaxdown robotics tournament.

An alliance of both Delhi Charter teams 8892A,

The Vidreams, and 8892R, The Oreos, dominated the elimination rounds to take home the Tournament Champions Award. Additionally, The Vidreams also won Robot Skills Champions and the Excellence Award.

The Vidreams earned the maximum possible awards that a single team can win at an event.

DCS will host an elementary and middle school robotics tournament on Feb. 1. On Feb. 6-8, the high school teams will compete at their first signature event at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, TN, before competing at the Louisiana state championship on Feb. 22.

The high school teams have earned a total of seven trophies so far this season.
