A collaboration between Richardson Medical Center and The Living Well Foundation continues to provide significant health benefits to local residents.

RMC previously utilized $147,000 in grant funds from the foundation to provide nine automated external defibrillators which were placed in sports facilities throughout the parish.

“This equipment will make life-saving measures available to guests in these facilities for years to come,” RMC Director of Education Devin Liles said.

As a 2024-2025 initiative, RMC is expanding their school-based health center to three new locations including Start Elementary, Holly Ridge Elementary and Rayville Elementary School.

“This expansion will allow for physical and mental health care for all students and employees at those schools,” RMC Director of Infection Control Brittni Giesbrecht said. “This joint effort between The Living Well Foundation and Richardson Medical Center will insure that Richland Parish citizens and students will have signifi cantly more access to crucial health care.”
