Two years have passed since Chief Markus Turner took on the role of leading Rayville Police Department.
In this time, he has made significant changes to the way complaints are addressed, from the dispatchers to the officers. An important change was putting in place a warrant officer to help decrease an estimated $589,000 in uncollected fees from the previous administration. Since then, RPD has collected more than $124,000 in those fees.
Looking ahead, Chief Turner is signaling further improvements over the next two years.
