As we head into the summer, Chief Markus Turner wants to remind everyone to prioritize the safety and happiness of our children.

For parents who work outside the home, please ensure that your children have responsible adult supervision while you are at work. This is crucial for their well-being and to keep them out of harm’s way.

The Rayville Police Department has been receiving calls from worried citizens about large groups of young people playing in the streets and causing disruptions.

It’s important to have open conversations with your children about these concerns and to emphasize the significance of respecting the law.

“Let’s work together to make sure our children have a safe and joyful summer,” Chief Turner said.
