Mary Beth Arbour

Mary Beth Arbour departed this world on January 27, 2024, at her home in Start.

She was born in Delhi on March 20, 1959.

She was a faithful follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, had a deep faith in God, and enjoyed studying and sharing scripture. Her faith was evidenced in the kind deeds she did for many people, as she was always looking to help others and truly cared for all people.

Mary Beth grew up the third of seven children. Her family lived in the country outside of Delhi. She was full of life, had a great sense of humor, and brightened the room everywhere she went. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and visiting her grandparents who lived nearby. She was a cheerleader and was voted class favorite every year at Delhi High School. She loved to dance and have fun.

Mary Beth and her husband, Larry Arbour, married in 1981. Their son, Taylor, was born two years later and their daughter, Adrienne, 14 months after that. Mary Beth became a full-time mother and homemaker when her children started school and became a fabulous cook, earning the nickname “Ms. Chef.” Her home was a gathering place for her children and their friends.

The last seventeen years of her life were spent with Larry at their home in Start where she loved tending to her flowers and planting a vegetable garden each year so that she could have home-grown food to give to family and friends. She enjoyed watching and feeding all the “critters” who lived around her home. She adored her three beautiful granddaughters who she loved to spoil.

Mary Beth is survived by her husband of 42 years, Larry Arbour, who was the love of her life, as she was the love of his life; her son, Taylor Arbour; her daughter and son-in-law, Adrienne Arbour Carona and Jack Carona; and her granddaughters, Marie Adele, Jeanne and Camille Carona.

Mary Beth is also survived by her siblings Becky Zarro and her husband, Joe Zarro; Terri Dearman; Clyde N. Dearman Jr. and his wife, Renee Dearman; Jay Dearman and his wife, Angel Dearman; her sister-in-law, Sharon Dearman; and her and the family’s special Christian brother, Ricky Justice, together with aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde N. Dearman and Beth Upton Dearman; her brother, Mac Dearman; her sister, Jenny Dearman Blake; and her grandparents, Willie Arthur and Pauline Dearman and Clarence and Gertrude Upton.

Mary Beth’s kindness, generosity and fun spirit will be greatly missed but her love remains in the hearts of Larry, Taylor, Adrienne, family members and special friends. Everyone is looking forward to seeing her again at our heavenly home with God.
